DAY 1: DEPARTURE FROM MARRAKECH:
The Ouzoud Falls are one of the most spectacular sites in Morocco. They are located near the friendly Berber village of Tanagmeilt. The word Ouzoud is a Berber word meaning “olive”. The name comes from the many olive trees in the area. At the entrance to the 110m high waterfalls, we will explore the surrounding area, then visit some small shops selling local products to buy gifts and souvenirs. In the afternoon we will have the opportunity to visit some of the old mills that come down from the falls and are still in operation. We will also see another beautiful sight called Oued El Abid near the waterfall. We return to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
